  • Why do the poor parts of the world let the rich people control them?
  • I think that the poor cities are being taken over by huge companies that say that they will make the poor cities better.
  • Companies try to use chemicals in food to make them grow faster that the food comes to the stores faster in order to get money faster.
  • Companies work with local farms in order to look organic.
  • People have limited resources but companies don’t understand that.
  • Companies are robbing countries in order to have more things to sell.
  • Local farms are taken care of more than companies do to their farms.
  • People want to be left alone to take care of their own farms.
  • It’s better and cleaner to use renewable sources than using fossil fuels to live.
  • I agree with idea that companies and people shouldn’t try to make ideas to get more profit but to make ideas which give a better life and chance to people.
  • I don’t agree fully with the idea that companies have made good ways for people to live.
  • I agree that we as the world should begin localizing things more.
  • I kind of felt like some information was biased while watching this Documentary Movie

End of Year Test (Algebra Test)

At the end of the year we had a Algebra Test because we were learning algebra at the end of the year and at the end of each math unit. I think that I did really really good when taking this algebra test.

R.A.F.T Poetry Video/Writing

Writing:

Thank You!

Thank You for helping me when I was new

Thank You for helping me find a new crew

A crew of friends

You would teach me everything I needed

Before my first year ends

You helped throughout my tough times

Being silly sometimes were mistakes

Sorry about those mistakes

And Thank You for the pancakes

The pancakes that you made for us

Farewell

Wooho!

I’m going to a new place

I can’t see any smile on your face

I think I know why

It’s because you don’t like to say goodbye

It’s okay though were still friends

We all have our own ends

Good Bye guys

I will  be on that metal bird in the skies

Adios! Mi amigo

But I have to go

I’m riding away in by lambo

Just as if i’m in a limbo

Riding to my jet

But I’m not ready yet

I got this weird feeling inside my heart

I have now become smart

I remember now

I didn’t apologize and say goodbye

And I realize now all of you might cry

Please don’t cry bro

If you cry I will too yo!

Let’s be happy

Be happy before we separate

Just don’t dedicate

Lets have fun

Before our time is done

Bye my friend

I’ll miss you a lot mi amigo

Think Destination

Good bye PYP

Hello MYP

It might be hard

But I’m not scared

I’m ready

Come at me bro

Let’s go

I see leaves falling of the tree

Falling of the PYP tree

Soon will be the end

The end of PYP

Good bye PYP

Hello MYP

I will miss you

I don’t have time to be sad

I can only say wooo hoooo

I’m happy like Winnie the Pooh

Good Bye PYP

Hello MYP

Final Reflection

Here is my final reflection:

Final Reflection

In the Olympics every athlete wants to win and show his best and put as much effort as he can. Some athletes take PEDS(Performance Enhancing Drugs) in order to be first place without having to really work. This is not fair for the athletes that actually work really hard!

When athletes take drugs their muscles get stronger and they become stronger and faster.

I learned a lot from this Exhibition Unit. I learned 60% of the athletes in the Olympics use drugs. I never knew that and I think it’s a good thing to know about this fact. Most importantly I learned that drugs are really really bad(I already knew that they were bad for you but I never knew how bad they are for you. I understand why athletes take drugs but I don’t agree to them.

I have developed a lot of my curiosity skills during this unit. My passion and issue made me want to go a little bit deeper into the topic everyday. I watched the news everyday, I went onto a bunch of websites with sports news to see if anything happened. Sometimes it did sometimes not.

Action

In my action a lot of things worked out. For instance I was done with my presentation on time and we got started just in time for their P.E lesson. Ms.Mcquade arranged her class into 4 groups so that there would be 5 people per event. I think that the amount of people and time wasn’t as much as I thought it would be. Next time I think I should get two/three classes for the Olympics. Also I should add more events just like in the real Olympics. I think that in order to make my action more sustainable I should have done the mini Olympics each week or month at least once.

                                                                                 Day-X

Exhibition has had a big impact on me. Exhibition made me more organized and do things by myself more. Exhibition also gave me a chance to get to know some people from 5th grade better. It has also made me know my mentor better. Exhibition helped me get better at some skills that I used to be bad at for example my research skills. I think that I will a lot good things from these 6 weeks of Exhibition. I think that  I will take a lot of new skills from this unit. I think that next year the day before Day-X should be the day when everyone can

Did you know that more than 60% of the sportsmen that participate in the olympics use drugs in order to win? I hate it when athletes use drugs to win.Doesn’t that ruin the point of the Olympics? This is a HUGE issue and I will tell you why.

I have chosen drugs in the Olympics as my issue because at the moment drugs are a huge concern. There are a lot of drugs that people in sports take, but the drug that is taken most commonly are steroids. Sportsmen take steroids to get stronger but they don’t realise that steroids kill them. When you use drugs in sports they give you the same effect as they do when you take them outside of sports. Drugs affect a lot of things that you need in sports. It makes your breathing harder. Your heart also gets damaged and you heart beat becomes really really fast which is bad. Mainly this drug affects your concentration and your senses and that really distracts you. It is also really unfair for the athletes that actually work hard and use their full strength.

My passion is the Olympics. This passion really connects to my issue because drugs are used a lot in the Olympics. I have chosen this sport because I really love all the types of sports that are in the Olympics. The Olympics are really fun to watch and to do. Everyone watches the Olympics. I always stay updated when the next Olympics will happen and all the other news about new records and new scandals. Many people turn out to be cheaters that took drugs in order to win. For example, Dwain Chambers (a British runner) was caught using drugs after being tested at the Olympics. The IOC (International Olympic Committee) took all the medals he won using drugs. That is a shame on him and  the sport he used the drugs in, Is also a huge shame for his country.

My action is raising awareness and letting people have fun at the same time. First I will have a presentation to raise awareness of drug use in the Olympics. Afterwards there was the 5M Olympics. The 5M class will be divided into 4 groups 5 people in each group. There will be four events: Javelin throw, hurdle run, 100m dash and long jump. After everyone has a turn in all events Ms.Mcquade and I counted up the scores and handed out the medals. To find out if 5M has learned anything in my action I sent out a survey and gave them questions. Everyone learned something from my action and I really liked that!

In conclusion, the Olympics are a great world event. They are a place where we can celebrate our athletes and their skills and talents. I don’t want that ruined and spoiled by cheats who take drugs to perform better. We need to know what goes on and take a stand against it!

Exhibition Action Week

IMG_2932 (1)

On action week we had to combine our passion and issue together to raise awareness or take action. My passion was the Olympics and my issue was drug use in the Olympics. So I combined them together. First I did a 10 minute presentation on drug use in the Olympics and after I was done I took some questions and we all went down to the pitch to finish of my action. When  we counted up all the scores we found out that everyone won and so everyone got a medal.
